The Party Continues

21 Oct

On Missy Mack’s actual birthday, the 18th, we did our best to celebrate even though both her and Mr. Mack have been bitten terribly by the allergy bug. They sound awful, they look awful, they are coughing and sneezing and have snot running down their crusty faces. Yuck! Poor babes.

We party on. Mr. Mack brought McDonalds pancakes to school for her 10:30 lunch and we ate with her and her friends.

Then I brought these yummy cakeball treats in for snack time with class. (Thank you Pinterest)

The class sang Happy Birthday to her while she stood on the table.

She made them sing a second time because she didn’t want the song to include the Cha, cha, cha part.

Then finally, they got to dig in.

We ordered pizza in and Missy Mack and I finished off the last of the yummy birthday cake. She opened presents from family. We tucked a very tired, cranky, coughing and snotty kid into bed with her birthday PJs from Mamaw.

Let’s hope she sleeps well. Poor child has had the same annual cold since she turned one years old. Maybe I will dig up pictures from past birthdays so I can prove that she sadly has the same sad nose every year on her birthday.

I didn’t even get to read the story that I have read to her for the past five years on her birthday and to every child I have taught on their birthday.

I guess that means, the celebration will continue for one more day….
